The 3P Medical Suction Cup also known as PUX PEC has the support and advice of doctors
Thoracic Surgeons, Orthopedists, Physiatrists and Pediatricians renowned for the treatment of thoracic deformities .
For successful treatment, the monitoring and prescription of a trained professional is of fundamental importance.
We are a family owned and operated business.
HOW WE GET STARTED
The PUX PEC is an independent project, aiming at the development of a device for the non-invasive therapy of thoracic deformity called Pectus Excavatum, popularly known as Shoemaker's Chest.
The PUX PEC developed the device and through 3P Medical the device started to be commercially called
Suction cup 3P Medical.

WHO IS THE APPLIANCE FOR?
Ventosa3P Medical is intended for patients with PECTUS EXCAVATUM, and is more efficient
in symmetrical deformities.
This device can be indicated for patients from eight (8) years of age, under the supervision of parents or guardians (at least until 14 years of age) and does not have an upper age limit defined to stop or contraindicate its use.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE USING THE MACHINE?
Before using Ventosa 3P Medical, it is highly recommended that an evaluation be carried out with a doctor in order to rule out any problems in cardiac, pulmonary and respiratory functions.
The 3P Medical Suction Cup is only sold by prescription from a healthcare professional.
In general, the medical specialist who treats Pectus Excavatum is the Thoracic Surgeon,
however, lately some Pediatricians, Physiatrists, Orthopedists and Physiotherapists have been offering treatment for this deformity.
Vacuum therapy with Suction Cup 3P Medical is a medium to long term therapy
and its use should be under the guidance of a professional, be it a doctor, physiotherapist or nurse.

HOW DOES THE 3P MEDICAL SUCTION CUP WORK?
The 3P Medical Suction Cup works by applying a negative pressure (vacuum) on the chest, reaching the ribs and the sternum, this pressure causes the chest structure to be elevated.
Therapy with Suction Cup 3P Medical causes deformities in the chest structure through the negative pressure exerted.
Due to the structural flexibility of the chest, these deformations at first are elastic or temporary, so the results obtained at the beginning tend to disappear if the use of the device is interrupted.
With the continuous use of the device, the deformations become plastic or permanent, where the occurrence of micro-cracks in the bone and cartilaginous structure is observed, these micro-cracks in turn tend to be recalcified by the individual's own body, causing the deformations , gradually become permanent.
Permanent deformations occur over time, and depend directly on the continuous use of the device and occur slowly and gradually.
SIZES
Currently the 3P Medical Suction Cup has the sizes of 16, 21 and 26 cm in diameter:
Suction cup 16 cm in diameter: recommended for patients up to 1.40 m tall, this model is the most used in children.
Suction cup with 21 cm in diameter: this is the traditional size and recommended for teenagers, young people and adults of average height.
Suction cup with 26 cm in diameter: this suction cup was developed for people over 1.95 m in height with a horizontal distance between nipples greater than 25 cm.

For a more adequate choice of size, we offer our customers a digital simulation of the device in use.
Just send us by Whatsapp or email a photo, informing the distance between the nipples as illustrated in the figures below:

SIDE EFFECTS CAN BE WITH TREATMENT VACUUM?
In the scientific bibliography it is reported the occurrence of some unwanted effects, for this it is necessary to use the device with caution, according to professional guidance and the recommended protocol.
The side effects observed are:
- Bruises and drops of blood on the skin: Bruises and droplets of blood on the skin are usually seen in the region of use of the device in the initial two or three weeks;
- Muscle aches: usually seen in the initial weeks and occurs due to the change in the position of the ribs and sternum;
- Back pain: common effect caused by the movement of the thoracic structure that has a direct connection with the spine;
- Sagging skin: occurs due to suction of the skin;
- Blisters: the occurrence of blisters on the skin is observed in some cases and are generally related to the pressure exerted by the device and, mainly, by the skin contact on the glass. If this symptom is verified, the use of the device should be suspended until the skin returns to its normal state, which prevents bleeding;
- Gynecomastia: in rare cases, gynecomastia, an enlargement of the mammary glands, is verified. Gynecomastia is triggered by the stimulation of the mammary glands by negative pressure. If any abnormal mass is observed below the nipples, the use of the device should be suspended in order to prevent its progression and a doctor should be consulted shortly.
When observing any side effects, the use of the device should be suspended and the doctor should be consulted.
